Refunds

Last updated 19 October 2026. This explains when you can get your money back for things you buy with real money in Life in Accra. It's part of the terms of play, and nothing here limits your rights under Ghanaian consumer law.

Cedi Coin

Cedi Coin (CC) is game money. You can earn it by playing, or buy it with cedis. Once it's in your wallet it has been delivered, so bought CC isn't refundable, and it can never be swapped back for cash. Everything you buy in the game with CC (homes, cars, furniture, the Accra Pass and so on) is part of the game and isn't refundable either.

We will refund you in full when:

• you were charged but the CC never arrived (we credit it, or refund you if you prefer);
• you were charged twice for the same top-up;
• someone used your card or mobile money without your permission (tell us and your bank or network straight away);
• a fault on our side took the CC you bought before you could use it.

Ask within 30 days of the payment. When a payment is refunded or charged back (by us, Paystack, your bank or network, or Google), the CC it bought is taken back; any of it already spent is owed, comes out of what you earn or top up next, and sending CC to other players is paused until it's paid.

If you paid on the web (Paystack)

Tell us in the game (Phone → Tell us) or email support@lifeinaccra.com with the date, the amount and the reference (in the game under Wallet → Your top-ups, or in your Paystack receipt email). We reply within 3 working days. Refunds go back the way you paid (mobile money or card) through Paystack, usually within 5–10 working days.

If you paid in the Android app (Google Play)

Purchases in the Android app are made through Google Play, and Google Play's refund policy applies. You can ask Google for a refund from your Google Play order history; within 48 hours of buying you can usually request one directly. You can also tell us in the game and we'll help.

Billboards

Billboard bookings follow the advertiser terms. In short: a full refund if we turn your advert down, or if you cancel while it's being checked or up to 48 hours before its week; and a refund or a new week if a fault on our side stops it running.

Accounts we close

If we suspend or close an account for cheating, fraud or breaking the community rules, bought CC and items aren't refunded. If we close the game or an account for any other reason, we'll refund CC bought in the 30 days before.
